Motumoana Enterprises LTD

Motumoana Enterprises Ltd is a portal to the wide and diverse range of professional and creative skills and experience June Pitman has to offer within the realms of business, creative and performing arts, and culture and heritage.

In her own words:

Tēnā koutou kātoa.

My tribal affiliations are Te Tāwera o Ngāti Pūkenga, Patuharakeke/Takahiwai, Te Parawhau, Ngāti Wai, Ngā Pūhi nui tonu, Ngāti Maniapoto, and European.

In 2020 I returned home to awhi (care for) and maintain ahi kaa (the burning fires of occupation) of our ancestral whenua (land) at Tamaterau, Whangārei. expansive backdrop of whenua (land), maunga (mountain), motu (island) and moana (sea); the place she calls home.

My business, Motumoana Enterprises Ltd (island and sea), is reflective of whenua, maunga, and motu; a constant reminder that the services I offer, are not bound by limitations of geographic place, space, or purpose. Rather they are expansive and imaginative in every possible way.

Established and incorporated in 2016, Motumoana Enterprises Ltd's portfolio of doings encompasses Project Management, Event Management, Event Theme Creative, Writing, Music Services, Research, and Book Publication & Distribution.

Complimentary to June's professional portfolio of doings is her creative portfolio as entertainer, producer, workshop facilitator, author, poet, and role-model ambassador for Duffy Books In Homes.   June is a self-professed general all-round, hands-on, 'lets get things done, and done well' kind of person.

About June

June is active as a performing artist, and the mastermind behind the production of several musical events including the stunning 2018 Matariki Starlight Jazz concert in support of mental wellbeing.

She is a prolific writer of childrens picture books with music. In 2021 June produced, and co-curated the Kaumātua o Tamaterau Life stories & Photographic Exhibition in collaboration with photographer Claire Gordon.

In July 2022 June published Kaumātua o Tamaterau Life stories through the lens, imortalizing the exhibition in book form.

Often busy working on numerous overlapping projects June's leisure time is largely spent creatively transforming an overgrown wilderness into a peaceful, magical garden. Being close to nature in the garden, enables her to pause, reflect, imagine, and dream.
